She immediately opening for bioinformatics specialist who can actively participate in cross-campus bioinformatics and biocomputing activities between the Storrs campus and Medical Center, located on Farmington, Connecticut. Responsibilities
The candidate will develop data analysis techniques and tools for large-scale omics data. Potential areas of data analysis include microarray expression data, conduct statistical analysis, regulatory genes, participating in a meta-analysis of gene expression of certain institutions engaged go / analysis of ways and annotating gene functions.
Qualifications and skills
Successful candidates must possess MS or Ph.D. in bioinformatics, molecular biology or related field. A candidate must have a computer, computer science and statistics skills. Formal training in biology or related fields, is necessary. The existence of the database specialists plus. Competence in one or more of Java, C + +, R, database programs is also a plus.
