Pancreatic Development and Diabetes (128)
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
A postdoctoral position is available to study the developmental biology of the pancreas with relevance to diabetes. A choice among several funded projects includes: transcriptional and signaling mechanisms that decide endocrine/acinar cell fate during development, transcriptional regulatory changes that mediate the transdifferentiation from adult acinar to beta-cells, the control of islet formation in embryos and genome-wide analysis of transcription factor networks controlling pancreatic development using ChIP-Seq and bioinformatics. Candidates must have a recent Ph.D. or M.D. and experience in transcription factor biochemistry, developmental biology or genomics.
