A choice among several funded projects includes:<!--more--> transcriptional and signaling mechanisms that decide endocrine\/acinar cell fate during development, transcriptional regulatory changes that mediate the transdifferentiation from adult acinar to beta-cells, the control of islet formation in embryos and genome-wide analysis of transcription factor networks controlling pancreatic development using ChIP-Seq and bioinformatics.
