Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Physical Biosciences Division has an opportunity for a Molecular Biologist Postdoctoral Fellow to be part of the Fuel Synthesis Division of JBEI that focuses on the development and optimization of fungal strains suited for industrial production of advanced biofuels.
\n
\nSpecifically the candidate will be involved in the development of synthetic biology tools for pathway expression, understand regulatory mechanisms for improving flux, engineer mono- and polysaccharide utilization pathways and develop robust fungal chassis for industrial scale applications. The candidate will also use a variety of tools such as next generation sequencing technologies, whole cell transcriptomics and proteomics for characterization of improved phenotypes.<\/p>\n
