To attract top students, the University of Alberta offers more than CAD$25 million in undergraduate scholarships each year.

\nValue: Variable from $15,000 to $20,000 – Payable over four years
\nQuantity available: Variable (Entrance or Transfer)<\/p>\n
\nAwarded annually to students on study permit who are entering an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta from high school on the basis of superior academic achievement (minimum award average of ~95% or equivalent) in Grades 10, 11, and 12. Receipt of funding for the second, third, and fourth years is contingent upon achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a full normal course load at the University of Alberta each year.<\/p>\n

\nAwarded annually to postsecondary students transferring into an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta based on superior academic achievement (minimum award average of 95% or equivalent) in Grades 10, 11, and 12 and on coursework completed at the postsecondary level. Receipt of funding for the second, third, and fourth years is contingent upon achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a full normal course load at the University of Alberta each year.<\/p>\n
\nThe competition will open in January 2011 and the deadline to apply is March 4, 2011. Postsecondary students do not need to be nominated for this award. <\/p>\n
