{"id":1964,"date":"2011-03-17T10:25:09","date_gmt":"2011-03-17T10:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/?p=1964"},"modified":"2011-03-17T10:25:09","modified_gmt":"2011-03-17T10:25:09","slug":"leiden-university-excellence-scholarship-programme-20112012-for-international-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2011\/03\/17\/leiden-university-excellence-scholarship-programme-20112012-for-international-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme 2011\/2012 for International Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS) is open to outstanding Non-EU\/EEA students pursuing a master\u2019s degree programme at Leiden University.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nAll nationalities enrolling in the following programmes starting September 2011 or February 2012:<br \/>\n&#8211; Master of Laws: Advanced Studies in Air and Space Law<br \/>\n&#8211; Master of Laws: Advanced Studies in European and International Business Law<br \/>\n&#8211; Master of Laws: Advanced Studies in International Tax Law<br \/>\n&#8211; Master of Laws: Advanced Studies in Public International Law<br \/>\n&#8211; MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy<\/p>\n<p>The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship programme has 5 awards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Platinum; Covers the tuition fee minus the home fee* and an allowance of \u20ac10,000 for living costs<\/li>\n<li>Gold; Covers the tuition fee minus the home fee*<\/li>\n<li>Silver; Covers 75% of the tuition fee<\/li>\n<li>Bronze; Covers 50% of the tuition fee<\/li>\n<li>Ivory; Covers 25 % of the tuition fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students should be aware that the LExS is not a full scholarship. It is necessary to find additional funding to be able to finance their study and stay completely.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum study period is 12 months (1-year programme) or 24 months (2-year programme).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Non-EU\/EEA students enrolling in a Leiden University master\u2019s degree programme<\/li>\n<li>In his or her prior academic education abroad, the applicant must have achieved excellent study results which are relevant for the programme for which the student wishes to enrol. As an indication, the student will be among the top 10% for the relevant programme followed abroad<\/li>\n<li>The applicant will hold a non-EU\/EEA passport and will not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans (\u201cStudiefinanciering\u201d; for more information please refer to: www.ib-groep.nl\n<\/li>\n<li>Scholarships will not be awarded to applicants who have already obtained a Leiden University master\u2019s degree<\/li>\n<li>Students who are granted a Leiden Excellence Scholarship must comply with and confirm in writing their agreement with the terms and conditions (pdf) attached to the scholarship prior to the granting of the scholarship.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students are selected on the basis of academic merit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application instructions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>To apply for the scholarship, you should write a letter of motivation (in Word) of a maximum of 500 words, in which you indicate why you believe you should be considered for this scholarship.
