{"id":384,"date":"2008-02-17T04:39:01","date_gmt":"2008-02-17T04:39:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2008\/02\/17\/overseas-research-students-awards-scheme-orsas-20072008\/"},"modified":"2008-02-17T04:39:01","modified_gmt":"2008-02-17T04:39:01","slug":"overseas-research-students-awards-scheme-orsas-20072008","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2008\/02\/17\/overseas-research-students-awards-scheme-orsas-20072008\/","title":{"rendered":"Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme (ORSAS) 2007\/2008"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> The University is pleased to announce the availability of 1 new ORSAS prices for the 2007\/2008 school year.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The award is given to new students who start their Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy curriculum, April 1, 2008 (start date is not negotiable).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates must have received an offer of a place to study full-time for a MPhil \/ PhD at the University of Plymouth by February 28, 2008.<\/li>\n<li>The competition is open to all disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be classified as foreign students pay in goals (UK or EU).<\/li>\n<li>The price will meet in the difference between taxes and abroad Home \/ EU fee. Students will be required to find the difference in taxes. The award will be for a maximum of three years, subject to academic progress each year.<\/li>\n<li>The awards will be made on academic merit and not for reasons of financial hardship.<\/li>\n<li>Application forms should be sent to the Graduate School, Room 4, Isaac Foot Building, University of Plymouth, Drake Circus, Plymouth, PL4 8AA.<\/li>\n<li>The deadline for applications is 12 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2008.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The only two criteria for winning an award are: (1) academic ability, and (2) research potential. Other factors, such as: proposed field of study, financial status, nationality, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion\/belief, marital status or any other inappropriate distinctions, will not be taken into account.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that to be eligible to apply for an ORS award<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you must be liable for the overseas fee<\/li>\n<li>you must be of outstanding merit and research potential<\/li>\n<li>you must not have already been awarded a PhD or equivalent degree<\/li>\n<li>you must not have held an ORS award before<\/li>\n<li>the Department or School in which you wish to study must support your application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ORSAS supports only full-time postgraduate research students.
