Students with non-accounting undergraduate degrees may need to complete certain pre-requisites, which may be found <a href=\"http:\/\/accounting.eller.arizona.edu\/master\/admissions\/requirements.aspx#pre-reqs\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Students wtih non-business undergraduate degrees may also apply. Students will need to take five pre-requisites prior to entering the program. You must complete an application for the UA Graduate College and the Eller Accounting Department.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate College Application<\/li>\n<li>Master of Accounting Domestic Application<\/li>\n<li>Master of Accounting International Application<\/li>\n<li>Tuition and Fees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are many scholarships are available for you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Department of Accounting<\/u><br \/>\nIf you are interested in departmental scholarships for MAcc students, please contact Carol Plagman, MAcc Program Director at plagman@email.arizona.edu.<\/li>\n<li><u>Teaching Assistantships<\/u><br \/>\nTeaching Assistant positions are available on a limited basis prior to each semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><strong>Master of Accounting: Teaching Assistantships<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Teaching assistantships are offered on a semester by semester basis to students enrolled in the Master of Accounting program at the University of Arizona. These positions involve working with professors teaching undergraduate accounting courses. Positions are limited and will be provided to applicants who are most qualified. Qualifications include GPA, GMAT score, recommendations from professors, demonstration of skill in the courses for which you are seeking a TA position, and other qualitative factors.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements: Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.\u00c2\u00a0 If at any time the GPA drops, they lose their assistantship.\u00c2\u00a0 Students will also need to re-apply for TA positions each semester.\u00c2\u00a0 Students will be required to work 10 hours per week (at .25 FTE) and if they need any time off they should clear it with their assigned professor.\u00c2\u00a0 Most faculty are very understanding (especially during exam weeks).<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nBenefits<\/strong>: Benefits for TA&#8217;s include the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Out-of-state tuition waiver (only pay in-state tuition)<\/li>\n<li>50-90% in-state tuition reduction (depending on part-time or full-time status)<\/li>\n<li>Insurance (single, family is extra)<\/li>\n<li>TA&#8217;s are not required to work during recognized semester breaks<\/li>\n<li>In addition to tuition reductions, TA&#8217;s receive a stipend of $2,737 per semester<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong>: Please contact Carol Plagman at <u>plagman@email.arizona.edu<\/u> for more information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Department of Accounting University of Arizona &#8211;
