{"id":477,"date":"2008-06-17T18:34:23","date_gmt":"2008-06-17T18:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/?p=477"},"modified":"2008-06-17T18:41:02","modified_gmt":"2008-06-17T18:41:02","slug":"asean-scholarships-2009-for-indonesia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2008\/06\/17\/asean-scholarships-2009-for-indonesia\/","title":{"rendered":"ASEAN Scholarships 2009 for Indonesia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The ASEAN Scholarships<\/strong> aim to provide opportunities to the young people of ASEAN to develop their potential and equip them with skills that will enable them to confidently step into the new millennium.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>The ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia<\/strong> is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcAdvanced\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 (GCE \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122) Level (or equivalent) certificate.<\/p>\n<p>The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students from Indonesia are welcome to apply for the ASEAN Scholarships for Indonesia to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary Three level<\/strong>. Candidates who are not short-listed for the scholarships will be considered for the Merit Awards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the scholarship:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nationals of Indonesia<\/li>\n<li>Between 14+ to 16+ years old (as of January 2009)<\/li>\n<li>Sat for 2008 SMP 3 National Final Evaluation Examination (UAN) and have done consistently well in school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any dates given below are tentative and are subject to changes. <strong>Activity<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Date<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Application Period<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">7 June to 15 July 2008<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Selection Test<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mid August<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Selection Interview<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Late September<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Award of Scholarship<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mid October<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Arrival of Scholar in Singapore<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Late October<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Candidates short-listed for the selection test\/interview will be notified a week before the selection test\/interview dates. <strong>We regret that only short-listed candidates will be notified<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where to obtain application forms during the application period<br \/>\n<\/strong>There are 2 ways which you can apply for the ASEAN Scholarships. Please choose only one method to submit your application form.<\/p>\n<p>You can either submit (please click either one of the methods below for details):<br \/>\n<a href=\"#softcopy\">Your softcopy application form through email<\/a> or<br \/>\n<a href=\"#hardcopy\">Your hardcopy application form by post<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Test and Interview City<\/strong><br \/>\nJakarta, Medan, Surabaya, Pontianak<br \/>\nNote: Surabaya and Pontianak may be used as Test Centres if there are sufficient candidates. Medan, Surabaya and Pontianak may be used as Interview Centres if there are sufficient candidates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Terms and Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Allowance of S$2,200 (Secondary) \/ S$2,400 (Pre-University) per annum with hostel accommodation<\/li>\n<li>Settling-in allowance of S$400 (once only)<\/li>\n<li>Economy class air passage to Singapore and back to home country upon completion of course<\/li>\n<li>Waiver of school fees (excluding miscellaneous fees)<\/li>\n<li>Waiver of GCE \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcO\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcA\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Level examination fees (once only, if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover<\/li>\n<li>Bridging courses (if applicable, in Singapore before start of course)<\/li>\n<li>There is no bond attached to the scholarship<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Instructions for Submission of Application Form<\/strong><br \/>\n<a name=\"softcopy\"><\/a><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Softcopy Application Form by Email<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download a copy of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moe.gov.sg\/education\/scholarships\/asean\/files\/indonesia-application-form.xls\" target=\"_blank\">application form<\/a> (96kb .xls) here in MS Excel format. (Note: Please click \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Enable Macros\u00e2\u20ac\u009d upon opening the document.)<\/li>\n<li>Complete the form on your computer at your own time and save your completed form in the following Excel format Name(Country).xls<\/li>\n<li>Email to MOE_ASEAN_Scholarships@moe.gov.sg<\/li>\n<li>You should indicate your email subject \/ title as Name (Country)<\/li>\n<li>You do not need to submit softcopies of your supporting documents such as result slips, birth certificate \/ passport \/ identity card or testimonials via email.
