{"id":481,"date":"2008-06-24T16:56:36","date_gmt":"2008-06-24T16:56:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/?p=481"},"modified":"2008-06-24T17:03:10","modified_gmt":"2008-06-24T17:03:10","slug":"adb-japan-scholarship-program-jsp-asian-institute-of-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.infobeasiswa.net\/archives\/2008\/06\/24\/adb-japan-scholarship-program-jsp-asian-institute-of-management\/","title":{"rendered":"ADB &#8211; Japan Scholarship Program (JSP), Asian Institute of Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Asian Development Bank (ADB) &#8211; Japan Scholarship Programme (JSP) was established in April 1988 with funding from the Government of Japan. <!--more-->It is intended to provide an opportunity to fully qualified citizens of ADB developing member countries to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related areas to attend academic institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. ADB-JSP enrolls about 300 students annually in 20 academic institutions located in 10 countries within the region.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aim.edu.ph\/\" target=\"_blank\">Asian Institute of Management<\/a> is one of institutions  participating in this ADB-JSP scholarship program.<\/p>\n<p>Below are programs offered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master in Business Management<\/li>\n<li>Master in Management<\/li>\n<li>Master in Development Management<\/li>\n<li>Master in Entrepreneurship for Social and Development Entrepreneurs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Scholarship Description<\/h4>\n<p>The ADB-JSP  provides full scholarships for one to two years.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>full tuition fees<\/li>\n<li>a monthly subsistence and housing allowance<\/li>\n<li>an allowance for books and instructional materials<\/li>\n<li>medical insurance<\/li>\n<li>travel expenses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The scholarship is for one year with an extension to the second year of study, as appropriate, which shall be conditional on the scholar maintaining a satisfactory level of performance as determined by the institute. The maximum duration of scholarship award is two years for masters and doctorate programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> A national of an ADB borrowing member country (applicants from countries that are no longer borrowing from ADB are not eligible for the ADB-JSP Scholarship).<\/li>\n<li>Gained admission to an approved post graduate course in any of the  participating academic institutions. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aim.edu.ph\/\" target=\"_blank\">Asian Institute of Management<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>A bachelor&#8217;s degree or its equivalent with superior academic  record.<\/li>\n<li>At least two (2) years of full-time professional working experience<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in oral and written English communication skills to be  able to pursue studies.<\/li>\n<li>Not more than 35 years old at the time of application.<\/li>\n<li>In good health.<\/li>\n<li>Should agree to return to his\/her home county after completion of  studies under the Program.<\/li>\n<li>Staff of participating academic institutions are not eligible for  the Scholarship.<\/li>\n<li>Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management and staff of ADB, consultants, and relatives of the aforementioned are not eligible for the Scholarship.<\/li>\n<li>Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management and staff of the other international organizations are not eligible for the Scholarship.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants living or working in a country other than his\/her home  country are not eligible for the Scholarship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries.<br \/>\n<strong>MORE INFORMATION<\/strong><br \/>\nADB-JSP Coordinators<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Rey Reyes<br \/>\nAssociate Director, Student Services<br \/>\nAdmissions &amp;
