The Graduate Program in Economics is an American style full-time program taught entirely in English. The program provides students with a thorough theoretical and practical training in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics as well as specialization in applied fields.<\/p>\n

Scholarships for Ph.D. in Economics at University of Alicante, Spain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Department of Economics at the University of Alicante (FAE), Spain, is offering Teaching and Research Assistantship to students enrolling in the Graduate Program.
\n
\nThe Graduate Program is a full-time program<\/strong> leading to a doctoral degree (Ph.D.). The program is taught entirely in English and it provides students with a thorough theoretical and practical training to do independent high-level economic research.<\/p>\n

The program prepares students for professional careers in universities, public and private research organizations, international institutions, consultancy and business. Students with strong quantitative skills and good academic qualifications are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n

Students are supported by an international faculty that is recruited from top American and European universities, such as MIT and LSE. The faculty has a high academic reputation publishing in top journals, such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy and Econometrica.<\/p>\n

Students receive an annual stipend ranging from 13,000 to 17,000 Euros and get financing to attend international conferences and to visit prestigious American and European universities, such as NYU and UC London. Scholarships also cover tuition fees. The teaching load is up to 60 hour per year.<\/p>\n

The Graduate Program in Economics<\/strong> forms part of the QED (Quantitative Economics Doctorate) European network of PhD programs in Economics, together with University of Amsterdam <\/a>(The Netherlands), University of Bielefeld <\/a>(Germany), University of Copenhagen <\/a>(Denmark), University Nova of Lisbon <\/a>(Portugal), University Paris 1 <\/a>(France), University of Venice <\/a>(Italy), University of Vienna <\/a>(Austria). Students have the opportunity of spending part of their time in any of the departments in the network.<\/p>\n
