The position is available to individuals holding a <strong>PhD degree in Biomedical Informatics <\/strong>or related fields<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n(e.g., computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, biology, or cognitive science) and having an interest in developing skills in biomedical informatics. This postdoctoral position is for one year with a second year possible upon satisfactory performance. The focus of the position will be on research under the supervision of a faculty mentor, but there is the potential of taking some informatics course work towards completing a certificate credential.  Possible areas of research include: translational informatics, natural language processing, grid and parallel computing, personalized\/genomic medicine clinical informatics, and public health informatics.  Applicants should be US citizens or have permanent resident status.
